Film London

In 2005 London’s strategic agency for moving image wanted to explore the potentials and opportunities for exhibiting programmes on-line.

VET worked with Film London and exhibited 8 short films from PULSE on an on-line video jukebox for a number of months. VET provided encoding and streaming and staff development. Samples were prepared to illustrate the effects of compression on picture quality and staff were informed about the relationship between resolution, data rate and broadband connection speeds.

The strategic agency for the film and media sector in London was looking into showing video online. In partnership, they were able to do so through curating VET’s Video Jukebox, showcasing 8 short films commissioned by the Pulse scheme. VET helped in encoding, uploading and streaming the films.
